Billions of people lack access to basic necessities — safety, housing, food, clean water, medicine, education. Wars rage and oppressive regimes persist. Over a billion people live with a mental health disorder, with depression and anxiety costing the global economy $1 trillion per year (WHO, 2025) — and many cope through unhealthy habits that compound physical damage. The natural environment continues to degrade through pollution, deforestation, and climate change. Billions of animals are killed for preference, not survival.
These problems share a common root. They arise from a fundamental misunderstanding of human nature — the disregard of the spiritual dimension of life, the attempt to satisfy an infinite longing for happiness through finite material means. A culture built on this misunderstanding naturally produces exploitation, suffering, and environmental destruction. The structural causes of these crises — geopolitical power dynamics, resource competition, institutional failures — are real. But these are themselves symptoms of a deeper civilizational orientation and ideological paradigm.

To achieve a profound, long-lived result, we should change people's thinking. This requires cultural and ideological influence and education. Otherwise, any result is temporary.
The main change in thinking we propagate is making Morality Principles into a standard norm for all human beings. These principles include non-harm, non-exploitation, non-accumulation, and truthfulness — which by extension lead to fair compensation, equitable resource distribution, transparent governance, and the reduction of poverty and exploitation.
The second idea is defeating groupism of any kind — extending the humanistic approach to animals, nature, plants, and the whole universe — hence, Universalism / Neohumanism. Everything in the universe should be treated with equal respect and not exploited. Without universalistic thinking, we harm animals and ecosystems. It is already well recognized in more socially aware countries that disregard for non-human forms of life increases human suffering as well — yet natural resources are still being exploited to serve narrow economic and political interests.
Finally, our goal is to educate people on the Fundamental philosophy — the underlying nature of human desire, happiness, and suffering. We aim to replace dogmatic thinking with clear, logical reasoning grounded in observable human experience, providing the intellectual foundation for morality and universalism and ensuring long-term, stable commitment to the principles above.
We firmly believe this is achievable. Humanity has demonstrably progressed in moral scope over the past few centuries: formal slavery was broadly abolished, universal human rights were established, environmental consciousness emerged. We still have a long way to go, but we are optimistic about humanity's ability to do so.

Simultaneously, we must take immediate action in critical zones (helping refugees, people in need, and communities in under-resourced regions, and limiting environmental degradation). This will not solve the underlying problems, but without it, we will not survive long enough to see lasting results.
ATMA creates commercial products within the existing market system, rather than working against it. This allows us to provide meaningful work with a beneficial socio-environmental impact, while channeling funds toward non-commercial projects — both within and outside ATMA — that share our vision and values.

ATMA focuses on facilitating cultural education, while also channeling resources toward immediate-action projects that address urgent needs.
